Before SAILISHA became a furniture company, it was called Man Wo Lung Trading Company which founded in 1930s by Cho King Lee in Kwang Sea Province (Chiang Kai-shek Government). The main business of Man Wo Lung was trading fur, lumber, and other goods. The businesses of the company expanded rapidly and soon Man Wo Lung opened the first office in the capital city of Kwang Tung Province - Kwang Chow (Canton or Guangzhou).
By the time the Kwang Chow office opened, Cho King Lee also started some furniture business. At the beginning, the furniture business were only includes some wooden, bamboo and rattan furniture. The product line has been expanded to modern living room and dining room furniture. With the increasing modern manufacture technique, the materials used were not only those traditional materials any more. Leather, fur, metal, and stone has been fused into the design.
